</script>FAQPage schema is one of the highest-impact schema types for aesthetic clinics — AI Overviews (ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity) extract FAQ answers directly. Only mark up FAQs actually displayed on the page.
How to use this generator
- Add your Q&A pairs. Use the questions patients actually ask (mine your consultation forms, email tickets, and Google Business Profile Q&A).
- Keep answers complete but concise — 40-100 words is the sweet spot for AI extraction.
- Copy the generated JSON-LD.
- Paste inside the
<head>of the same page that displays the FAQ. - Validate with Google’s Rich Results Test.
Why FAQPage is the highest-ROI schema right now
AI Overviews (Google’s AI-generated results at the top of the page), ChatGPT’s search feature, Perplexity, and other AI answer engines all disproportionately extract answers from FAQPage-marked-up content. For a Canadian aesthetic clinic, this is the fastest way to appear inside AI answers on questions like “how long does Botox last?” or “is Morpheus8 safe?”
Where to place FAQPage schema
- Every treatment page — 5-8 questions specific to that treatment
- Every location/city page — questions about that specific location (parking, hours, accessibility)
- Consultation / booking page — questions about the consultation process
- Pricing page — questions about payment, financing, insurance
- Homepage — high-level questions about your clinic
Best practices
- Only mark up FAQs that are visibly displayed on the page — hidden or accordion-only FAQs are fine, but they must exist in the HTML
- Write full, self-contained answers — AI extraction favours answers that make sense outside the page context
- Use natural language questions people actually search (“how much does Botox cost in Toronto?” not “Botox pricing”)
- Update your FAQs quarterly — Google favours recently-updated content on YMYL topics
- Never mark up promotional or self-serving content as an FAQ — it violates the guidelines and risks a manual action
FAQ
Where do I paste the FAQPage JSON-LD?+
Inside the <head> tag of the page that displays those FAQs. The Q&A block must actually be visible on the page — marking up FAQs that aren't shown to users violates Google's structured data guidelines and can result in a manual action.
Why does FAQPage schema matter so much right now?+
AI Overviews (Google's AI-generated answers), ChatGPT search, and Perplexity all preferentially extract answers from FAQPage-marked-up content. For aesthetic clinics, this is often the single fastest way to win visibility in AI answers.
How many Q&A pairs should I include?+
At least 5-8 substantive pairs per treatment page. Fewer than 2 pairs and Google may not treat it as a real FAQ. More than 15 is usually diminishing returns — quality over quantity.
Can the same FAQ appear on multiple pages?+
You can repeat a Q&A on multiple pages if it's genuinely relevant to each, but Google will typically only surface it as a rich result on one page (usually the most authoritative). Prefer unique FAQs per page where possible.
How do I validate the schema after pasting it?+
Use Google's Rich Results Test at search.google.com/test/rich-results. Paste your live URL and confirm the FAQPage schema is detected with no errors. Also check Google Search Console's Enhancements report after 1-2 weeks.
